History:
This two-seated type of vessel was used to test the Warp 5 engine to be built for the NX class. Launched in 2143.
Text from Ex Astris Scientia - Bernd Schneider's Star Trek Site
The NX prototypes bore a resemblance to Zephram Cochrane's Phoenix comprising a rocket-shaped main hull with various fins and control surfaces at the rear. Two warp nacelles were mounted to the sides via wings that could be folded to optimise hanger space.
