Society of "free spirits" on Planet Shiralea VI. The colony was populated by a number of fanciful humanoids who pursed a life of pleasure. These
colorful characters included a jugger, an argumentative humanoid couple, a poet, and a Wind Dancer, who served as colony sentry, assuring that "only those whose hearts are
joyous" could enter. Lwaxana Troi introduced young Alexander Rozhenko to a holodeck simulation of the Parallax Colony in 2368. Alexander seemed to enjoy the "Laughing Hour,"
while Lwaxana wanted to visit the colony's famous mudbaths. Alexander tolerated the mudbaths, but Worf could not fathom their attraction.
