#05		Travel pod 05 was a Starfleet travel pod assigned to the orbital office complex above Earth in the late 23rd century. In the mid-2270's, Travel pod 05 was used to ferry Admiral James T. Kirk and Commander Montgomery Scott from the orbital office complex to the refit USS Enterprise. Star Trek The Motion Picture In 2285, Travel pod 05 was used again to transport Admiral Kirk, Dr. Leonard McCoy, Commanders Hikaru Sulu and Uhura to the Enterprise. The travel pod then docked at the ship's port side torpedo bay. Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan Travel pod 05's appearance in The Wrath of Khan was due to reused footage from The Motion Picture. 	Small shuttle vehicle used for inspection tours at Starfleet's orbital drydock facilities. Kirk and Scott rode to the Enterprise in a travel pod when the Enterprise's transportres were not functional during the final preparations for the ship's departure to intercept the V'Ger entity in 2271.
