Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country The Scovil was named for Charles Scovil, an American astronomer. According to a ship listing included in the plans, and not seen in the extended cut of the movie, the ship's commanding officer was D. Hulett, and the ship was located in Sector 21837.
