	History:
	In late 2374, shortly after the death of Jadzia Dax, the Destiny was assigned to transport the ailing Dax symbiont from Deep Space 9 back to Trill. Along the way, Dax took a turn for the worse. Ensign Ezri Tgian was the only Trill aboard the vessel, and became the new Ezri Dax. DS9 "Shadows and Symbols" The Destiny returned to Deep Space 9 in early 2375 before joining the Seventh Fleet at Kalandra. Dax was to have rejoined the ship's crew but she opted instead to accept a posting to Deep Space 9. The Destiny was commanded by Captain Raymer. DS9 "Afterimage" Destiny is also the name of the United States' scientific lab module for the International Space Station. Star Trek Encyclopedia III
