History:
Starfleet spacecraft; a large, mobile, holographic environment simulator. Starfleet Admiral Matthew Dougherty used a holoship in his attempt to gain control of the Ba'ku planet in 2375. Dougherty had hoped to use the holoship to create a duplicate of the Ba'ku inhabitants village, so that they could be abducted without the knowledge of the Ba'ku.
Star Trek: Insurrection ; Star Trek Encyclopedia III
The registry number comes from the various sketches of the ship done by senior production illustrator John Eaves during the designing of the vessel. While the ship's overall look changed drastically throughout the design process, the number remained the same and for this reason it is logical to assume that it is the registry of the final holoship. However, since the number does not appear on the final version of the ship in the film, it should not be regarded as 100% canon even if it is fairly reliable. The ship was never given a name.
