The Valdore was of a new Romulan warbird class, strikingly similar in
configuration to the well-established Klingon B'rel-class Bird of Prey but also sharing many characteristics with the Warbird. It
had long bird-like, downswept wings at either side of the engineering hull and dual pylons tapering forward to the beak-like bridge
module. It was equipped with the ubiquitous Romulan cloaking device and disruptor weaponry. Captained by Commander Dimatra, it aided Enterprise-E during its assault on the Scimitar, but proved no match for Shinzon's battlecruiser. After the destruction of the Scimitar, Dimatra offered medical aid to Picard's crew, perhaps heralding a new era of detente. Reports from Federation operatives on Romulus claim that existing Warbirds, particularly those of the D'Deridex Class are being reffitted with improved shield technology and distruptor cannons. It is also believed that these ships can maneuver with unprecedented agility not exhibited by known Warbirds. Reports also indicate that these ships are to be commanded only by officers of the highest rank in both the Romulan military and Senate.
