History:
A large transport vessel used by the Malurians to plunder the mineral wealth of the Akaali homeworld. When Captain Archer uncovered the operation, spearheaded by the disguised Malurian agent Garos, the reaction was hostile. One Malurian volley on the Enterprise had a dramatic effect and Garos claimed that the vessel could launch ten such rounds simultaneously.
Nevertheless, Archer refused to abandon the natives to Malurian exploitation, particularly because they were being poisoned by an industrial lubricant used in the veridium-mining operation. He accessed the mine below Garos' shop and beamed the anti-matter reactor powering the excavation into space, where Enterprise ignited it. The resulting explosion disabled the Malurian vessel's previously-impenetrable shields, forcing Garos and his team to withdraw.
