Klingon Prison Camp Rura Penthe

History:
Rura Penthe. Frozen, alomost uninhabitable planetoid on which was located a Klingon prison camp.
Rura Penthe was known throughout the galaxy as the "aliens' graveyard," because prisoners were used for forced labor at the dilithium
mines there. The large asteroid, deep inside of Klingon territory, was so inhospitable that the prison camp needed no guard towers or
electronic frontier to keep the prisoners in. Kirk and MyCoy were sentenced to life at Rura Penthe after being wrongly convicted for
the murder of Chancellor Gorkon in 2293.
Some of the exterior scenes for Rura Penthe were actually filmed on a glacier in Alaska.
Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country ; Star Trek Encyclopedia II
Captain Archer was arrest in 2152 on Rura Penthe.
