History:
The vessel of the non-corporeal "wisps", it was of massive size, approximately 5000m across, engulfing the Enterprise NX-01 through its forward hatch. Although clearly of metallic structure, its design was apparently influenced by organic forms: it resembled a Terran manta ray in shape. The main forward hull then tapered back to a smaller secondary hull that looked rather like the flukes of a whale. Propulsion exhausts were apparent on the trailing edge of the main hull.
How the vessel was constructed and by whom remains unclear, as the beings who employed it were clearly not capable of such a feat. Perhaps it was built before they evolved into wisps, or perhaps they had possessed corporeal beings in order to build it.
When Enterprise encountered it in 2153, its systems were failing and the wisps were seeking hosts to escape its imminent breakdown. It was destroyed with spatial torpedoes when the wisps attempted to pursue the starship.
