History:
In 2154, while surveying a red giant in the Expanse, an Illyrian vessel was crippled by spatial anomalies and sent out a distress message. This was intercepted by the crew of Enterprise NX-01, themselves badly damaged by a Xindi attack. Initially Captain Archer intended to trade with the Illyrians to replace the Enterprise warp coils and restore warp drive. However, the alien captain refused to comply because to do so would leave his own crew stranded some three years away from home at impulse speed. Determined to achieve his mission, Archer launched an attack on his potential allies, boarding the vessel and seizing the required technology. In an attempt to salve his conscience, he left the marooned Illyrians supplies and Trellium-D for their long journey home.
