Sanction was destroyed above planet Brekka when a drive-coil malfunction made it impossible for the ship to maintain a stable orbit.
Altough the malfunction was fairly minor, the Ornaran's technical ignorance made the problem disatrous. The Sanction had been carrying a
cargo of the narotic substance felicium, which the Ornarans believed essential to their survival. TNG "Symbiosis" The Sanction model was a modification of the Batris from TNG "Heart of Glory" which in turn was built from a Visitors'freighter from the miniseries V.
