Yonada, which was built inside a large asteroid, was a slower-than-light ship designed to transport part of the Fabrini
civilization to "promised world" when their home sun went nova ten millenia ago. TOS "For the World Is Hollow and I have Touched the Sky" ; Star Trek Encyclopedia II Yonada was expected to reach its final destination in late 2269. Kirk promised McCoy that they would be there for the arrival, but since this would have been just after the end of the original Star Trek series, we do not know if they made it. |
The Fabrini constructed a ship disguised as an asteroid to carry some or their people to safety before their star exploded 10,00 years ago. The creators of the asteroid/ship devised a religion intended to guide their descendants in their lives aboard the mobile world they called Yonada
