History:
The Cytherian probe had attempted to reprogram the computers on the Argus Array and then attempted to reprogram an Enterprise-D shuttlecraft onboard computer. The probe was finally able to program Lieutenant Reginald Barclay's mind to bring the Enterprise-D to the Cytherians. The Enterprise-D spent ten days in the company of the Cytherians, exchanging a great deal of cultural and scientific information.
TNG "The Nth Degree"
The Cytherian probe model was later modified and reised in DS9 "The Forsaken".
